POURQUOI UTILISONS NOUS DE L'HUILE D'OLIVE DANS NOS GELS DOUCHE ?

WHY DO WE USE OLIVE OIL IN OUR SHOWER GELS?

At Rose et Marius, we want to offer you the best and for this reason, we prefer natural liquid soap to foaming gel which is much more chemical and aggressive for the skin.

Our liquid soaps can be used for showering, face washing, hand washing in your kitchen or bathroom or any other room in the house.

Our recipe is kept secret, but we can tell you that they are made of 97% natural ingredients from Provence, with olive oil and olive leaves and poppy water for the soothing and antioxidant properties they contain. And of course without parabens.

Because they are entirely composed of pure vegetable oils and butters, our liquid soaps are very gentle (unlike some classic, fancy or industrial soaps).

With no sulphates, colourings, preservatives or artificial fragrances, the risk of irritation is minimal, even on ultra-sensitive skin! Our cosmetics can be used every day thanks to their gentle pH level, which does not irritate the skin.

HOW DO I REFILL MY LIQUID SOAP?

Nothing could be easier! By buying the refill you can refill your shower gel bottle at any time! A little tip: remember to screw your pump back on as tightly as possible after each use to reset the pump system.

All about shower gels

Liquid soap or homemade washing gel, which to choose?

Opinions differ: sulphate-based soaps are cheap, but are much more aggressive.

They are less expensive than liquid soaps and are often preferred for this reason.

Nevertheless, the official recommendations of the World Health Organisation are to wash your hands with real soap, whether liquid or solid.

Don't want to switch to solid soap (yet)?

The importance of composition and manufacture

Some liquid soaps are made from vegetable oils or butters, such as cold-saponified soaps. They contain :

saponified oils ("Potassium" + name of the oil/butter + "-ate")

Glycerine ("Glycerin").

Shower gels are not really soaps. Their cleansing agents do not come from a saponification reaction. But some are of natural origin and are gentle on the skin.

Liquid soaps are still the best shower gel option, especially for irritated or diseased skin (eczema, psoriasis, shingles...).

That's why at Rose et Marius we advise you to choose soaps made from totally natural ingredients.

Afterwards, it's up to you to choose the scent: Rosé wine, Fig tree, Orangery...

A good way to know if your washing gel is chemical? The more it foams, the less natural it is...

In addition to the obvious benefits of choosing Rose et Marius natural liquid soaps rather than artificial washing gels, you will enjoy a delicious, creamy texture that will make your shower a pure moment of pleasure for your senses: fragrant scents and a unique touch with this melting texture thanks to the olive oil they contain.

Are they toxic?

It lathers and it smells good. But is soap as harmless as it looks? It all depends on the product. Soaps and shower gels can be bad for your health and the environment. Especially since they are used every day.

Between organic shower gel, classic soap and superfatted soap, we take stock of the products to adopt or to avoid.

To avoid: conventional soaps and shower gels

Whether it's soap, shower gel or cleansing foam, some products are not recommended. Conventional soaps are industrially produced. The natural glycerine is removed and replaced by a little synthetic glycerine. The soap is then cut up into small pieces to be decorated with colourings, perfumes, etc. The surfactants in conventional soaps (shower gels, cleansing foams, etc.) are often cheap and of poor quality. Some are irritating and cause allergic reactions. Many products also contain dubious additives. Preservatives, perfumes and synthetic dyes can be harmful to the skin and the environment.

Other ingredients, which may be used in soaps and shower gels, are not recommended for environmental and health reasons: controversial oils, such as animal fat

Palm oils, which are at the origin of the deforestation of our planet and its dramatic consequences on the ecology.

At Rose et Marius, we are committed to not testing on animals. We only use vegetable-based products and we only manufacture in France with the most beautiful natural materials that nature provides!
